I arrived in NYC in the very heart of the first wave of the pandemic. Originally I came to be nearer to our daughter, but once Covid infiltrated our world, I sent her down south to quarantine in a lake house with her roommates. One afternoon I took off to explore Brooklyn. This painting – Brooklyn Poplars – is the result.
This is a Contemporary Abstract Figurative Expressionism with Mark Making made on canvas with acrylic paints, oil pastels and charcoal on canvas – it is a painting that tells a story.
